The children captured in this photo exhibit are anything but ordinary. Some have faced life-threatening injuries or illnesses, several since birth. Others are learning to manage conditions that will remain with them throughout their lives. Each, alongside supportive family members, has endured an incredible medical journey, made better because of community donations to the local children’s hospital. They are Champions of Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals.
A Champion by definition is “one who fights.” To honor kids’ battles with severe health challenges and to emphasize that children’s hospitals need donations to help sick and injured children thrive, Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals designates “Champions” each year. These child ambassadors serve as real-life examples of miracles happening in 170 member hospitals across the nation, thanks to donations from people in their community.
With the support of Delta Air Lines, Marriott International and Chico’s FAS, the Champions of Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals embark on an annual Ambassador Tour to share their inspiring stories with media and lawmakers, and to thank corporations who raise funds for the charity.
